Simon sez solo career
There was a lot a troubled water during the last years of the Simon & Garfunkel partnership. After recording that bridge album, Artie went to Hollywood to try a career in movies (sorta successful? Catch-22, Carnal Knowledge). And Paul brought out a basketful of songs he'd been stockpiling and started a highly regarded solo career, starting with this, his second solo album (see 1965 for the first!) |
