Goose Lake International Music Festival

Goose Lake Park, Jackson, Michigan
August 7-9, 1970
Beautiful event held on 390 acres, with free campsites (including wood!). Turntable on stage allowed for quick changes. Grand time had by all. Check out this great little documentary —complete with highlarious local ads. Among the talking heads is one of the promotors Russ Gibb, whom you might know better as the Bill Graham of Detroit and his Grande Ballroom.
Local bands played during day and the heavy hitters came out at night. Savoy Brown, Joe Cocker, and Alice Cooper cancelled. The historic Stooges set was released in 2020.
